Here is the latest from the Dininny camp. We’ve got a few pics of the mama and of the progress on the room. Drywall is all up, and mudding is in process. It’s a good thing too because we have to be done with the baby room side this week. Stuff needs to be moved in, plus we’d like to enjoy it being done before she gets here. So, the bathroom takes a brief spot on the back burner, while the baby’s room should be done and painted this weekend (7/28)!!
Keep praying for us as we finish up the project and as Katie continues in her discomfort.

So, we have reached the 8 month mark! (56 days left) Everyone please congratulate Aaron on the wonderful job he is doing and will continue to do-picking up after me and my pregnancy brain. Bending over to pick up the stuff I so frequently drop; giggling at me when I trip and then telling me to be more careful; OH! and there’s lots more…..

We took our “Vacation” to PA to see Bethy graduate and attend D’Anna & Elanna’s “Last Day of School” picnic. AND, to celebrate my Mom’s birthday! 2 wonderful showers were thrown for Abigail and OH-SO-CUTE presents from all are greatly appreciated! My family and Aaron’s family both did so much to help in Abigail’s arrival. Thank you all so much!
It was a very good trip; leaving home was hard this time for Aaron. Life changing events happening for the Larry Dininny’s, as they are moving to Wilmington, NC-keep them in your prayers.
When we returned to Norfolk, our church family also threw Abigail a shower! Thank you all!
Hope you all are enjoying our updates, we are trying to keep them as frequent as possible, now that I’m growing rapidly!
Thanks for all your support and prayers.

The baby gets a little bigger each day. She’s moving and kicking with as much strength as one her age could have. She’s pushing 4lbs and is about 18 inches long. I finished the ceiling in her room as our nesting continues. Now I have to get the bathroom started and finished by the time she arrives. I hope she gives me the time I need, otherwise we’re gonna have an all church/family workday at the Dininny’s. Let us know if you want to sign up!! Enjoy the new pic.
Getting ready to enter the 3rd trimester…….WOW, our pregnancy is going by so quickly. I’ve waited so long to be pregnant (we both have). This little miracle is already so impressive. Abigail is very active now, moving all the time. She’s a hungry one too! I was in PA to see Bethany off to her Senior Prom! (we’re so old!) and on Mother’s day, I woke up early because Abigail decided it was time for breakfast at 7:30am! On this particular morning, she was pretty active, moving and groovin-Aunt Sara had the pleasure of seeing her and feeling her move! Sara said, “she’s in there shaking her lil’ booty.” Too cute!
Aaron was so excited to hear this news. Daddy has felt her moving, and when I returned home, he was able to see her moving! FUN! And, of course, he loves all the bragging that comes along with these rapid changes happening with my body. I love it too! It makes me most happy to see him excited about everything and anything! This baby has brought us so much joy already & she’s not even here yet!
We can’t wait to meet you Abigail Marie. Mommy and Daddy love and pray for you every day!
Check out the LARGEST pictures yet! 6 1/2 months and counting!
Here’s the latest pic of Katie with Miss Abigail. She is incredibly active now, but mostly still only known to mommy. I gotta tell you though, I’m liking this pregnancy thing. We had bannana pudding pie last night! I haven’t had that in ages. It was awesome!! So I’m enjoying the cravings too. Abbi is about one foot long now and weighs just shy of one pound. My twin sisters were born at 3lbs 13oz and 2lbs 11oz if I recall correctly. And they were two months premature. Now my baby girl is almost as big as they were, WOW! So we’re 23 weeks in, which means over half way. Can you tell we’re excited?
Hi Abbi,
It’s your Daddy! I was just checking in on you to see if things are okay. I can feel you moving around in there every-once-in-a-while. You’re not quite strong enough to really start kicking mommy’s belly. I had a fun talk with you the other night and it seemed like you recognized my voice. I hope that means you are a good listener. Some of us Dininny’s have a problem with that. Well we have begun your room improvements. I tore down the old ceiling and we have big plans to have a little surfer girl room complete with hibiscus flowers and multiple surf boards. Your Uncle Bubba has been giving me some ideas about different decorations. He actually has some good ideas nowadays. So you’re taking my UNC Tarheels room just so you know, but you know what? I couldn’t think of anyone more special to give it to. Your mommy and I have some big ideas of who you are going to be, but just know that we mean well. We don’t know you yet, so we don’t know what you are good at. I think you’ll be the next American Idol. Mommy thinks you’ll be a sports star! Abigail Marie, you can be whomever God wants you to be. We’ll love you no matter what! So, until we talk again, take it easy on the Mama. You’ve done pretty well so far. I Love YOU!!

She is getting bigger and bigger. Miss Abigail weighs about a half a pound and is 6 inches long from crown to rump. She is beginning to form her one of a kind finger prints as her outer layer of skin continues to form. Wow, all this as it goes on inside the belly of an active and healthy woman (Katie that is.) If you know Kate, she likes to go, go and go some more, but y’all need to help me encourage her to go slow, slow and slower still. Keep that in mind and in prayer as we continue our journey! Thanks for reading.
The Shock Factor definitely played a part in our day yesterday!
What an awesome experience! Like Aaron said, to see your baby on the screen moving & waving! She did wave by the way…. totally put her lil’ hand up like she was going to suck her thumb and out came every little finger like she knew we were watching. Daddy says she’s gonna be a singer-I’m not sure about that-but she’ll definitely be an entertainer!
Tell us what you think!
blonde curly hair ? OR another do ?
I’m going with blonde curly hair-just like Aaron’s
Wow, where do I start? Well, we go into the doctor’s office and they are getting new equipment. So they say that we are going to have to wait either 30 minutes or all day. What a great start, huh? After about 40 minutes, we go to the ultrasound room. What an awesome thing to see, your baby moving around and drinking and waving at you. Cool stuff! The lady asks us if we want to know the sex. We say yes and she says “it’s a girl!” And then I say, “are you sure?!” Tears begin and here we are. So, maybe Kate will give you her side, but in a nutshell this is how we found out.
It’s going to be awesome to have a little daddy’s girl. We already have plans for a surfer baby room complete with Roxy flowers and mini surfboards. And of course you want to know her name right? Well, ironically the only name we had for sure was a girl’s name. Miss Abigail Marie Dininny will be welcomed to the family around August 23rd. All is healthy with mom and baby. I believe the word “perfect” was actually used a few times. Praise God for that! Little Mr. Gavin is going to have a girlfriend I suppose, and we’ve already begun planning that wedding (that Jen and Justin will be paying for, LOL!).
I’ll be posting the ultrasound pics when I get them scanned in. ‘Til then here is the mama. Love y’all, thanks for the prayers, but don’t stop there is still a long way to go here. It’s not going to be a cool, cool summer! (read like that 80′s song)
Okay so here’s something funny! (that’s my new saying; “wanna here somethin’ funny?”) Anyway…. As the mommies know, every time you go to the doctor you have to pee in the cup and get on the scale. Well, the cup thing is easy-getting on the scale and seeing the figure that comes up every month, not so easy, it’s getting bigger and bigger! YA, YA-this is what is supposed to happen…. & I’m slowly coming to terms with this
So, the other night-Aaron is taking my profile picture and he says “are you sticking it out?” (I know whoever is reading this is thinking, he must be crazy for saying this…..) That’s my husband, I did not take it in an insensitive way-we both just laughed as I told him NO! I was not sticking it out! Moms, you know how all of the sudden you just looked pregnant overnight? This is what has happen to my used to be size 10 hiney
But like Aaron said, it’s okay… and the more of me to love the better. Right? Well, sometimes anyway
I hope y’all enjoy reading these quirky Dininny happenings-we sure do!
Thank the Lord for laughter!
